Animal Encounters
Terra, our animal ambassador
Our 15 animal friends visit the classrooms so children can meet them up close and learn how to care for them: rabbits, leopard geckos, bearded dragons, guinea pigs, a parakeet, a box turtle and a corn snake.
Art Studio

An open-ended studio where children explore many materials and mediums and meet artists and techniques from around the world. Every child visits several times a month.
Reading Group

Small-group reading for our fours that lays the foundation for beginning reading and builds confidence and excitement about books, in a positive, encouraging setting.
Sensory Room

A calm space for big feelings. Using the Emotional ABCs curriculum, children practise breathing and self-regulation, with one-on-one support when they need it.
Spanish
Taught by Miss Lavonne
Every 2s, 3s and 4s class learns Spanish every other week, exploring Hispanic cultures, food and language, from Hispanic Heritage Month to the monarch migration and El Día de los Muertos.
Wild in the Woods
For every class
Small-group outdoor adventures: observing, experimenting, building, planting and tending. In light rain the teachers go out anyway, because those are the best puddle-jumping days.
